Yes, Queen 2 is one of my favourite Queen albums, strangely underrated. I'd come across the painting before hearing the song, as a teenager, but I hadn't paid it (the painting) much attention: it was the song that alerted me to the fact that there is a "dragonfly trumpeter" in the image, a detail I hadn't noticed before!

The song is interesting: much more upbeat and positive than my reading. Mercury puts a lot of attention on the fairy lady in the yellow dress and the well-attired gentleman wooing her (the "quare fellow" as he sings) above the fairy-feller. As if that couple is the heart of the image for FM.
