I don't understand how the hand-clappage algo. works at Medum: but from the stats I can see that this post hasn't even been read by that many people.

Yeah, I may be overstating the split in Labour. There's surely a psychological aspect to it: it's more aggravating, or perhaps actually more disappointing, when people who are quote-unquote "supposed" to *be on your side* disagree with you. My perspective is surely partial, but I do seem to see lots of my Corbynist friends spending much more time and energy online trying to demolish Starmer than attacking the Tories, and at least part of that is a human desire to get people to say "yes, yes, you were right all along, we were wrong, Corbyn was as great as you always said" etc.
