"Hoon" is a palace, but also a gold coin [Hindi हून (hūn, “pagoda, a gold coin of Southern India”) from Sanskrit हून (hūna, “a kind of gold coin from a particular kingdom”). "a pagoda, a type of gold coin"] -- which is to say, Hoon is the Sun, in splendour, the palatial sun, here descending through the western skies and sinking into the ocean, and reflecting on his passage. There's no question but that Hephaestus' fall is also a sunset chute: descending into the west (west of Troy, west of Olympus).
